Your warehouse picks the practice order and ships it in the hey circle box. The practice puts the goods away, and the box stays in circulation - 50 cycles on average.

In the veterinary sector the return leg is not the goods but the empty box: because the same practice is supplied again within days, it travels back with the next delivery. In the lab business the loop is even two-directional - shipping material out, sample back.

    • Add a seal or security closure for prescription-only goods

    • Stick the shipping label on the label holder and have it delivered as usual
    • Tested and approved by all parcel carriers, shipped without surcharge
    • Dimensionally stable and padded - tested to 400 kg stacking pressure and in an 80 cm drop test

  • Zurücksenden

    • The practice folds the empty box flat
    • It travels back with the next delivery - with several deliveries a week, that adds no extra journeys
    • In equipment service the loop runs both ways anyway: loan device out, repair device back

  • The same practice several times a week

    Around 10,500 veterinary practices in Germany, many of them on 24-hour supply. A fixed group of recipients combined with high frequency is the best possible starting point for a reusable loop.

  • The use case is already proven

    Several large suppliers in the veterinary market have been shipping in reusable boxes since 2021 and 2023 - the loop demonstrably works in this sector. The difference lies in who owns the box: the carrier or you.

  • Cold chain and insulation

    A large share of shipments travels under temperature control between 2 and 8 degrees. In lab shipping the insulation sits entirely with the sender, today usually in a bought-in polystyrene box. That is precisely where an insulated reusable box replaces single-use material that ends up in the bin after one journey.

  • Loan devices and repairs

    X-ray systems, endoscopes and analysers are sent in for repair while a loan device bridges the gap. That flow is necessarily two-directional - and a dimensionally stable reusable box protects expensive equipment better than single-use cardboard.

  • Saving three times over, plus regulation

    Reuse avoids up to 94 % of waste and 76 % of CO2 emissions, and packaging costs fall by 53 % on average. With the PPWR, reuse becomes a requirement from 12 August 2026.

A market that already knows reuse

There is currently no publicly named hey circle reference in veterinary supply. This is, however, the one sector among our target groups where reusable boxes already run at scale - so the proof that the model works here has been delivered.

Two areas remain untouched by the existing systems: lab shipping with its insulated packaging, and equipment and instrument service with loan and repair shipments.

How can hey circle packaging be returned?
  • Without a product return, the empty packaging is simply folded, closed and provided with a return label. Depending on the parcel service provider, the return can be handed to the mail carrier, dropped into a mailbox, or left at a packing station.
  • In the event that goods are returned, a seal or adhesive seal should be enclosed to close the box or bag.
  • In cases involving regular deliveries, multiple packages can be bundled together and returned cost-effectively in a single box.
  • Parcel service providers currently transport reusable packaging exclusively on behalf of business customers. As an online retailer, please provide your customers with a return label. We are already working with a wide variety of market participants to also enable returns in retail stores.

How are the goods protected from theft during shipping?

The boxes and bags can be secured with taped seals or a seal that is attached to the box through the zipper and an eyelet. A yellow tab with Velcro is used here for orientation and protects the seal during shipping.

Can hey circle boxes and bags also be used for internal shipping and intralogistics?

Reusable shipping packaging is well suited for internal shipping and intralogistics. The use has several advantages such as:

  • Saving packaging waste and CO2 emissions
  • Employees identify with sustainable solutions
  • Bundling of empty packaging for return transport possible
  • IT integration optional, as no deposit is charged
